So Sunday of the first week. It is going well, though it had quite a rocky start.

I was placed some three semesters back in my French level. I was seriously disappointed, yes, I was tripping up a bit with the french, but I was communicating! I felt it was more a lack of vacabulary than anything else. Thankfully the teacher in the level they'd put me in agreed and now I am in a class that feels right. I am neither bored because it is easy nor struggling to keep up (my fear when the teacher changed my level.)  I like the teacher and the group, save for a Venezuelan who keeps dominating the class. Good thing that the teacher wont let her, otherwise I might have asked to change classes. What an annoying cow!

The French is getting better, I am not so scared of making a mistake anymore. I know I make mistakes, but if I dont speak how am I going to learn? I feel I am understanding things better too, I even managed to watch a whole movie in french and not finish it with a headache! Yes, I understood only part of it, but I got the idea, that is definitely progress!!!!

Paris is as I remember beautiful, though I would rather have some less rain. Its ok though, not even constant rain will make Paris less amazing! My school is close to St. Germain, and I have walked around there quite a bit. Its so beautiful and I love the fact that I have a whole month to explore it. This week I plan to go to Montmatre and explore it properly (last time I was in Paris I only quickly glanced at it. Montmatre deserves more than a quick afternoon!).

I had better go finish my homework! Aurevoir!

I've arrived in Paris. Yay!

The flight here was rather tiring, with one highlight, I got to see my dad during the lay over. still my journey here took two flights of 8 hours each. Ok it was the cheaper option and yes, I got to see my dad, and Get to see him again when I fly back, but Goddess, I am tired!

When I arrived, filled with good intentions, changed, showered and went to the school I am studying at to finalize my enrollment and find my way around. Good idea, but then I had to go shopping for food (my room has a kitchenette) and by the time I got back I was exhausted. I didn't go out yesterday because it was raining and I was still very tired, but haven't managed to quite get my hours straight yet. It is early Brazil time, but not quite so early here.

The hotel is good, the room simple but nice. I have Television (of which I understand .... oh about 10%) and Internet. I have made myself dinner yesterday but have found out its not the best idea, it filled my room with the smell of it, and I had to open the window for a while. I wonder what will will, non having the smell of saving money... seeing as I want to buy a LOT of stuff, Me thinks the saving money...

I'm off to Versailles today, It looks like my kind of day (sunny and cold). More later!

I have finished my 40 hours of course, but since I dont have my own torch or workspace, I have been working at my teacher's workshop. I have been doing it a lot lately, students cancelling and travelling help me finding time for practice!!! I didnt go today for some reason though I did have the time... Still I trust my instincts and so here I am.

Im very pleased with the results, I am getting better, its just a matter of practice and patience!!! shame I have very little of both... hehe Oh well, when I come from my immersion in February I will be able to work as much as I want as I will have my own workshop.

having a half baked gift that doesnt let me know who needs help... just that someone does...

I spend hours when it happens, feelings worried, my chest tight in anguish, and I have no idea who is it that needs help. Gods all, whoever it is, may they get whatever help they need...
